Cena Una, Legazpi

Balay Cena Una was one of the places I was eager to visit last year when we went to Bicol. Partly because I love the idea of their ‘spicy’ ice cream but mostly due to the lovely Spanish interior the house has. I love the look of aged, dark wood, capiz shells and the creaking old grand staircase. Aside from the delicious Lumpiang Tinapa (spring rolls with smoked fish), Bicol Express, Ginataan Gulay and Laing (Bicol is known for spicy delicacies in coconut milk), and Manok na Tinutungan (chicken in coconut milk), the view of Mount Mayon from inside is just spectacular.
